Brightcove supports two major syndication services. Our Distribution Services are focused on creating and leveraging distribution channels to monetize video - through either free viral syndication or ad-supported players. Our Licensing Service is focused on creating a marketplace for the purchase and sale of licensed content.

How do I become a Brightcove Affiliate?

What is the Syndication Marketplace?
The Brightcove Syndication Marketplace is a place affiliates can go to discover, preview, compare and request video for syndication to their site. For a detailed overview of the Syndication Marketplace please click here.
How do I apply to syndicate a player?
Once you have found an offer that is interesting to you, you will be directed to register as an affiliate, create an account with Brightcove, and request to syndicate the publisher's player. For your request to be approved, you must fill out all of the required fields, agree to the Brightcove Terms and Conditions, and submit at least one URL where the player will be displayed.
How do I find other Brightcove syndication offers?
All publicly available Syndication offers can be found in the Syndication Marketplace. Publishers may also opt to promote these offers on their individual websites.
What if my syndication request is rejected?
Publishers have the ability to approve or reject syndication requests based on the information you provide. Publishers generally prefer to understand where and how you will be displaying their content. Providing information in the notes area of the syndication request can increase the chances of having your request accepted by the publisher. If a publisher has rejected your request, you can reapply for syndication with a more detailed explanation of how and where you plan to display the content.
Do I have to pay to syndicate content from Brightcove?
Unless otherwise noted on the publisher's web site, all content that is currently available for syndication from Brightcove is free to an affiliate.
Will publishers pay me to syndicate their content on my site if their player contains ads?
Brightcove does not currently support payment to affiliates.
Will the player that I syndicate display advertising?
A Brightcove player is the "package" that contains viewer controls such as "play" and "pause," the video screen, and potentially advertisements. Publishers may choose to include advertising in their players.
Can I display advertising in a syndicated player?
If a publisher chooses to include advertising within their player, the advertising is controlled and managed by the publisher. Affiliates do not currently have the ability to control advertising within a player.
What's the difference between viral and managed syndication?
Viral syndication utilizes html publishing code and can be passed on from affiliate to affiliate. Affiliates do not need to register to gain access to viral publishing code. Managed syndication requires registration with Brightcove and review and approval by publishers. Managed syndication may use html, javascript or actionscript publishing code. What are my responsibilities as an Affiliate?

Brightcove is responsible for creating, maintaining, and supporting the Brightcove Marketplace, Syndication Marketplace, the Console and player functionality.
What are Content Owner's Responsibilities?
Publishers are responsible for creating and maintaining channels within the Brightcove Syndication Service.
How do I change my account information?
In the top right corner of the console you will see a "My Account" link, click here to edit any of your account settings including user profile, organization profile, receiving payments, payment details, and account history.
How can I update my website and contact information in my Brightcove affiliate account?

Can I change my Brightcove affiliate account Username and Password?
