Asset Categories within the Brightcove Service
The Brightcove service categorizes video and image assets for insertion in a Player ( background image or logo ) or allocated to a Title (the rest of the elements in table below) as follows. After uploading such assets, you can view the images or preview the video from the Assets tab in the Brightcove Console. For more information, see Managing Uploaded Assets.

| Flash Full-length (video) | Flash 7 or 8 (FLV) file | The main video content of your title, if it is not for sale. |
| Flash Preview (video) | Flash 7 or 8 (FLV) file | Preview video (up to 30 seconds) used to promote your title. Recommended if your full-length video is 15 minutes or longer or if it is for sale (by download). |
| Bumper (video) | Flash 7 or 8 (FLV) file | Short video clip (up to 15 seconds) used to introduce or brand your title. |
