Changing Brightcove User Profile Information

Anyone who can sign in to the Brightcove Console can change the User Profile information (email, password, etc.) for the associated account.


To edit User Profile information in a Brightcove account from the Brightcove Console:

  1. Click the My Account link in the upper right, above the Console tabs.

  2. Click User Profile in the upper left.

  3. On this screen you can make any needed changes to your Brightcove username, password or secret question/answer.

  4. Your Brightcove security question is used in the case of a locked Brightcove account or if a Brightcove Console password is forgotten. By asking for the answer to your security question, Brightcove can confirm your identity in either of these cases and you can regain access to your account. Select the desired security question and type in your personalized answer in the specified fields.

  5. Click the Update button in the lower right for the changes to take effect.

  6. Choose Yes to confirm that you want the update to proceed.
