Any new Player that you create will automatically be promoted in a public search engine , unless you deselect this option. Examples of public Internet search engines include Google, Yahoo! Search, and MSN Search.

To access the setting for promoting your Player in a public search engine:

Select the Players tab in the Brightcove Console.

Select your Player from the list of video players and click Edit.
(Or, if you are in the process of creating a new Player: Click New Player and enter a name on the Promotion page.)

The Promote through a public search index? checkbox is checked by default. Accept this setting or clear the checkbox, according to your needs.

If your player is hosted on a Brightcove URL, you don't need to do anything else. If you are hosting this player on your own web page, be sure to specify the Player URL as well.

Click Save when you are finish editing or creating your Player.
