Controlling Syndication
Publishers can control the distribution of a syndicated Player from the Brightcove Console by selecting certain options before, during, and after the sharing of a syndication offer.
About domain restrictions for your syndicated player: In their syndication request,
affiliates
specify the proposed location
URL(s)
for inserting the Player being offered for syndication.
Domain restrictions for syndicated players are controlled by the publisher’s approval of the affiliate’s proposed URL, and NOT by any domain restrictions set by the publisher when creating or editing the Player (i.e., the “Restrict the player to your web domain?” option, accessible from the Players > Security tab page)
The following options allow you to control syndication
- As you create or edit your syndication offer (Syndication > Manage Offers > Edit > Details):
Approval Method: Choose "I would like to approve anyone requesting this video player before it can be used." (Reviewing, Approving, or Denying a Syndication Requests) Distribution: Clear the “List in public directory” checkbox. Types of publishing code: Select either or both of the following publishing code types when editing or creating your syndication offer. (The publishing code is used to insert your Player in an affiliate website or Flash application.)

JavaScript is the preferred code for publishing a Player using Brightcove. JavaScript publishing ensures that your syndicated Player will be restricted to only the URLs specified in the syndication request and provides reporting data for Players on affiliate websites or other locations. - ActionScript:
Choose this publishing code if your Player needs to be embedded in an affiliate’s Flash-based movie, website, or application.
- JavaScript (the default selection):
