Managing Affiliates
Once you have approved requests for your syndicated Player, you can manage affiliates from the Brightcove Console.
- To view the number of affiliates that have published one of your syndicated Players: From the Syndicate tab > Manage Offers, refer to the "Number of Affiliates" column for each player.
- To view contact the email address or contact details for affiliates of your syndicated player: From the Syndicate tab > Manage Offers, select a player offer on the left to view the email and other contact detail in the columns on the right.
If you cannot readily see the rightmost Contact Details column: Scroll to the right and depending on the size of your computer display, you may also want to resize the Syndication Details columns. To do so, place your cursor in between column labels. When the cursor changes, drag in the appropriate direction, as needed - To deny or approve an affiliate access to a Player after you have initially approved or denied them, respectively. This method only applies if you shared your Player using JavaScript or ActionScript publishing code.
- Choose the Syndication tab from the Brightcove Console.
- From the Manage Offers tab page, select the Player offer on the left.
- Select the associated affiliate on the right, and then click either the Deny Affiliate or Approve Affiliate button.
Consider contacting affiliates before making any changes to an actively syndicated Player. You and your affiliates may want to formalize this process to schedule and agree on planned content updates over a more extended period.
To view the syndication status of your players from the Players tab: Mouse over icons in the Type column on the left to view whether a player is: Available for Syndication, an Affiliated Player, or Not Available for Syndication.
