Managing Uploaded Assets

From the Brightcove Console, you can organize your view of, rename, and delete asset files that you have uploaded to the Brightcove service.


To manage uploaded assets:

  1. Select the Assets tab from the Brightcove Console to view your list of uploaded assets.
  2. Then, select an option depending on your needs:

To sort your view by Type, Name, File Type, Upload Date, or ID: Click the appropriate column heading.
To sort your view by asset type: Choose an option from the View By dropdown menu (for example, Flash full-length video).
To find a file by name: Type its name in the Filter By text box. If you have more than 200 assets, the Filter By box changes to a search form, with a data grid and pages.
To rename an uploaded file: Select the file from the list and click Edit.
To view an uploaded file:
  • Select the asset from the list on the left. Any image asset (video still, thumbnail, background image, logo) you select displays in the File Details area on the right.
  • To view a video asset (Flash full-length or Flash preview), click the Preview Video button in the File Details area on the right. You cannot preview WMV full-length videos.
