Previewing a Brightcove Player Locally

To preview your Brightcove Player locally:

  1. Select the Players tab in the Brightcove Console to view your list of Players.
  2. Copy the Player publishing code:
    Select the Player, click the Get Publishing Code button, select the JavaScript tab, and choose Copy.
  3. Open an HTML editor, paste the Brightcove Player publishing code into the code view, and save the HTML page.


    4. Windows users can use Notepad as follows: Open Notepad (Start > All Programs > Accessories > Notepad). Notepad opens a blank text document. Paste the Brightcove Player publishing code into the Notepad document. Save the document with a name of your choosing and enter ".htm" as the file extension at the end of the name. Close Notepad.

  4. Double-click the HTML file to open it in your default web browser.

    If you encounter an unexpected Macromedia Flash Player security message when trying to view the file: You may need to modify your Flash Player security settings before you can view the Player correctly from your computer.
